In the programme "Tanz, mon amour", Editta Braun shows two of her productions on the cinema screen that were created 25 years apart: they are about love, passion and power struggles, gender roles, impositions, violence and tenderness.

Dance, mon amour: Editta Braun's very personal declaration of love for an art form that allows feelings - dance as a form of language that looks behind the male-dominated language in the best feminist sense and makes the unnameable resonate.

Tanz, mon amour

«Collision» (1993, 25 min.)

Sick man meets eccentric woman.

Love as a "collision", as a vehement clash of two people. Play, struggle, deadly serious and authentic.

In the stage production, which was created in Paris and Salzburg in 1991, the very peculiar and strong movement languages of Jean-Yves Ginoux and Editta Braun met in a tense encounter and merged into a haunting duet.

The renowned Austrian filmmaker Othmar Schmiderer turned it into a short film work of art in 1993 in the salt warehouse of the Hallein salt works on the Pernerinsel, which was awarded the bronze medal at the New York Film Festival in 1994.

«LoSt» (2016, 42 min.)

How do two singles become a couple?

What are we actually looking for when we search for love? Can we even find what we think we need outside ourselves? And does the one who loves inevitably lose himself?

It is no coincidence that "LoSt", our acronym for LOveSTories, means "lost"....

The film was made from a live recording of a performance of the dance theatre piece with the Austrian Iris Heitzinger and the Colombian Dante Murillo in 2016, the brilliant composition was contributed by the Frenchman Thierry Zaboitzeff.
